it looks cool but like lameshot said when there are more then 20 players on the server how are you gonna fix that ?

 

P.S : broke my computer screen last night (CS:GO rage) i wont be playing for 2 months :(

 

I think its best for now to happen only when boss spawns and dies, and if it looks cool and everybody thinks it doesn't affect their gameplay maybe start adding it to random moments

 

Also It might be cool for it to occur on a last human, you get a special feeling being the last one and I doubt it harms the the players who are zombies that much.

Remove all starting guns apart from usp and p228. Everyone should start like this apart from the odd magnum.

 

Crowbar on spawn only with gordon freeman. Buy it in the shop.

 

Make medkit charge at least 100sp for 30, health should be a precious resource like in the old days. Health chargers were considered a blessing.

 

Remove all beneficial health bonuses from the dice apart from one that gives you x amount of health back. Seriously, I always get health.

 

Propkilling shouldn't reward 3 score. Redeem after killing 2 humans is a terrible ratio to this game.

 

Poison zombie/headcrab should unlock after 60% of the game and zombines when there's 4 minutes left.

 

Zombine aren't terrifying like they used to be. Holding out a grenade should make you charge with speed.

 

Fast zombies are free points, they attack way too slow.

 

Starting zombies wont even need a health bonus with these changes.

 

Howlers should be able to attack with claws for 10-15 damage with left click. Right click should still scream and disorientate all humans nearby. They are currently very easy to use for cheap damage and don't really serve much meaning apart from killing you if you're on 5 hp.

 

Do all of these and you might have a more enjoyable zs in my opinion.

If I remember right when pufulet made updates he made zombies so overpowered that the server was empty for a really really long time

 

Most of what you suggest would increase the zombies power and people already are dying in almost every round

 

Howler claw attack though doesn't sound bad

 

However something like Increasing medkit charge price would be utmost stupid since almost nobody heals each other, since you don't gain any points from it and almost all the sp already goes to ammo or guns

Well the current stats for zombies are 'rough' atm.

 

I need to sit down and look at some of the classes again and do a small review, and change a few stats.

 

Our main issue is bridging the gap between regs and new players. If there are regs on the human side and newbs on the zombies. The regs will win hands down no effort. Vise versa etc..

 

The cading aspect seems to still be a hard thing for new players to understand, no idea why. So another review of cading and nail HP will be looked at.

 

I will be also looking at some prices in the shop, as some guns are coming out to be a little too much or too low.

 

Obviously with the new zombie base update we should be able to re-add bosses after an overhaul, allowing for more strength in the zombie team. So its more of a waiting game for this new base so these changes can be made and the GM polished correctly.

Whatever you do just don't nerf the medkit sp. It is possible to make sp from healing, I do every game but it isent much more than breaking even. What we also need to do (besides balancing teams) is fix the medic end game stats. They have been broken since the new end game screen was added. While I'm thinking about medics the medic suit is also broken, but fixing the balance should be the main priority right now.

UPDATE: 31/03/2015

 

Here is the latest update which should bring back balance and fun with ZS.

 

 

Fixes:

 

-Infected double hands issue 'Need to fix the others, a little more complex.'

-Zombie HUD font issue fixed.

-Turret not selecting the correct zombie classes and ignoring others fixed.

-Turret aiming and accuracy vastly improved.

 

Changes:

 

-Fast zombie HP increased

-Fast zombie Attack Rate increased

-Fast zombie unlocks a little ealier

-Mobile supplies no longer give HP

-Etherial TP timer is 2 seconds not 1. 

-Starting zombie HP is maxed at 338HP

-Nails have 150HP

-Late starting humans will receive a BlowTorch so they are able to be a team player.

-Zombie HP regen is 1 hp per second after 15 seconds of not being hit. A far more smoother system.

-Zombine Grenades do extra damage to humans and nails. 

-Zombine charge speed increased by 10 units. 'Better get your skates on!'

-Chipper does 1 more damage to make it '8 damage a shot' with 6 num shots'

-Howler range increased by a lot. Damage is based on distance! 'Best keep your distance from these bitches!

-Human walk back slowdown was removed. 'Stop silly noobs always dying by shooting backwards!'

-Dice doesn't turn you inside out anymore 'The amount of RQ was unreal'

-Dice new option, gives a special item! 'Bottle ol Vodka' or 'Chem Nade'

-Dice you can loose a piece of brain

-Dice full brain from dice has been removed.

-Head crabs give 15 SP

-Poison zombie gives 45 SP

-Zombine gives 35 SP

-Scout price 800 'lots of damage' (The scout was disliked because of the last crate system, best we make it something which can be loved'

-Starter primary weapons removed from loadout. 'Added into the crate with a cheap price tag!' 

-Explosives in shop are now 30 SP. Lets make them profitable somewhat!

-Berserk perk is turbo charged 'Damage is multiplied by 1.4

-More SP for healing team mates 'Better start being more friendly with each other'

-Medic Suit fixed.

-Human fall down re-added 'Watch your step or a zombie may eat you!!'

-Leveling up amount multiplier increased 'More time to level up these days.'

-XP only gained when there are 6 plus players.

-Reduced XP amount from killing humans. 'From 100 to 90.'

-Removed comeback perk 'Work hard for your guns or use the (Reborn) perk!'

 

Additions:

 

-Wraith class 'Older Etherial class' 

  -Unlocks same time as etherial.

  -Helps keep a diversity in the game, it was excellent back in the day and will serve a good purpose once again.

 

-Ghouler 'Fast running zombie'

  -Unlocks at the start of the game

  -Low HP faster attack rate, faster speeds. Great for keeping up with those runners!

 

-Bottle Ol Vodka

'New dice outcome'

 

-Chem Nade

'new dice outcome'

 

-Crossbow fixed and added into crate

The hp regen seems incredibly miniscule for staying out of combat for 15 seconds. You could easily suicide and start fresh in that time.

 

I would suggest 2 hp / 5 seconds and maybe apply only for normal zombies.

 

The inside out should be kept as a risk/reward. There wont be anything dangerous now and it was a good reason to purchase lady luck.

 

Rest sounds about alright and I'm looking forward to trying it out.

Same as it did before but isn't broken and works now.

 

Update may appear to be live but it isn't. There is an issue with SVN. I expect Ywa will fix it when he is online next. :)

Zombine

 

Attack 0.3/0.25 seconds too slow compared to animation.

Delay between attacks is too slow, try 1.2.

Add slowdown effect that spy wraith has instead of freeze.

Unlock 5 minutes left in the game.

 

Poison Headcrab

 

Unlock same time with poison zombie.

 

Poison Zombie

 

Attack delay after puking is too long. Decrease by 2 seconds.

Puke needs a  0.3/0.4delay instead of being instant.

Increase puke range.

 

Howler

 

Set speed to zombie.

Add claws attack for primary.

Secondary to scream, disorientating human screen greatly but no damage.

Add slowdown effect that spy wraith has instead of freeze.

 

Ghouler

 

Get new class thumbnail.

Rename to Infected/Fresh Dead

Unlock 5 minutes into the game when people supposedly start dying.

Change animation to a running one.

 

Infected

 

Rename to Zombie

Add back hl2 zombie sounds? Keep L4D sounds for the ghouler.

 

Wraith

 

Get new class thumbnail.

Change hands to human when disguised.

Change animations to look human.

 

Ethereal

 

Change attack stats to wraith ones, works a lot better.

Change standing still time to wraith.

Whenever I hit a human they just get healed back. 10 minutes attacking 3 humans outside and they still had the same amount of health.

 

Medkit charge needs to be a lot more precious than it is.

 

Turret has too much knockback. Half its damage but double fire rate as well as ammo regen.

 

You also can't turn off your turret to regen ammo because that picks it up. Change the pickup key to sprint.

 

For loadouts on weapon description, I would suggest adding:

 

"Weapon Name"

 

Damage: x

Fire Rate: x

Accuracy: x

 

These stats can be gained from each swep.
